Ghoulies! Ghosties! Long-legged Beasties! Things That Go Bump In The Night! Welcome - all of you, to the 10th edition of Final Girls Berlin Film Festival.
Our full schedule is up online - in case you haven’t checked it out yet - and individual tickets are still available via City Kino Wedding’s website. We fully recommend that you book in advance to avoid missing out.
Don’t forget our fest party, happening on Friday, Mar 7 from 22:00 at Cocoon, Berlin, in collaboration with Nightcrawlers. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience.
Streaming goes live on Mar 5
If you are outside of Berlin, (or just have a perfectly understandable aversion to going outside) - we’ve got you. Nearly all of our short films are going to be available for streaming beginning tomorrow and running throughout the length of the fest.
Each of our shorts blocks is available for pre-order for €6, and will be available to you for the duration of the fest.

Mar 8, 13:00: Discussing and Drawing Director Kei Fujiwara — Thany Sanches. This session combines a lecture and a drawing workshop.
Mar 8, 15:00: HORROR: Made in Turkey / Elif Satanaya Özbay & EMIRHAKIN. Visual and performance artists EMIRHAKIN and Elif Satanaya Özbay explore the evolution of Turkish religious horror films, highlighting how the genre portrays women as vessels of possession, curses, and supernatural power.
Mar 9, 13:00: Pretty Deadly Female Rage Workshop / Julia Brasch and Patricia Zegarra. This workshop confronts rage... with self defense! SOLD OUT (but you can sign up to the waiting list by emailing us finalgirlsfilmfest@gmail.com)
Mar 9, 15:00: ‘I have to climb inside you now’: Liminal spaces and states in Dead Ringers / Sally Campbell. This talk will analyse the two versions of Dead Ringers – David Cronenberg’s 1988 film and the Rachel Weisz-produced limited series (2023) – through the concept of liminality.
Mar 9, 16.30: That Very Witch: Fear, Feminism, and the American Witch Film / Payton McCarty-Simas. In this talk, author and film critic Payton McCarty-Simas will discuss their forthcoming book, That Very Witch: Fear, Feminism, and the American Witch Film, examining the evolution of the witch as a figure in horror cinema.

Feature Film Jury:
😈Niamh Sauter-Cooke is an Irish-German writer/director based in Berlin, Germany.
💀Sally Campbell is a London-based editor, writer and researcher with a lifelong attraction to horror.
👹Audrey Biasucci is a Berlin-based member of the @zelluloid42 group, where she co-curates the monthly double feature series "Pleasure Dome" in 35mm and 16mm.
Short Film Jury:
👻Elif Satanaya Özbay is an Amsterdam-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses performances, installations, and essays.
👽Jenni Zylka lives in Berlin, writes about film and music for newspapers including taz, Tagesspiegel, Der Spiegel and Rolling Stone; works for radio and television stations including Deutschlandradio and ZDF; was head of the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section of the Berlinale until 2023, is now the delegate for German talent films at the Berlinale.
👾During Sabine Ehrl’s studies at the Film University Babelsberg, she directed the internationally awarded documentary “Day After Day”, the essay film “Guilt” as well as the internationally awarded dystopian scifi “F For Freaks”, which ran amongst other festivals in Sitges and Trieste and won the Audience Award in Busan and Best International Short as well as best actress at Fantasia in Montreal.
